OGM and Craig Haltom Golf Design

Craig leads OGM and Oliphant Golf Construction, very much hands-on and in the field, with a talented team of managers based in central Wisconsin. Craig is also an active golf course architect, and has a growing portfolio of high profile golf renovation work in the Midwest.

Craig began work for Oliphant Golf in 2001, after living in Scotland for three years, where he completed a graduate degree in landscape architecture and studied the great links courses of Great Britain and Ireland. He helped Mike Oliphant to start Oliphant Golf Management (now OGM) in 2009, and Mike sold him the golf management business in 2016.

Nicole Schilling, Director of Finance & Administration

Nicole leads the finance department at OGM, bringing precision and expertise to the financial operations of our organization. With a degree in business and accounting, Nicole’s career spans diverse industries, equipping her with a versatile skill set ideally suited for the dynamic demands of the golf industry. She began her journey with OGM as a property controller, demonstrating exceptional skill that led to her promotion as General Manager at Nakoma, a prestigious private country club in Madison, WI. Nicole’s Midwest roots and deep understanding of financial strategy have since guided her transition to leading OGM’s finance department, where she ensures fiscal strength and supports the company’s continued growth.

Brian Jensen, PGA, Vice President

Brian Jensen oversees over 1,000 golf management employees during our peak season, and he helps to ensure that we are succeeding for each of our clients every day.

Brian came to work for OGM in 2013 after holding Golf Professional and General Manager positions at multiple private country clubs in Wisconsin and Illinois. Brian’s breadth of experience in all aspects of running a golf operation comes from years of hard work and training in the industry… from his days as a bag boy in Arizona to being the general manager of one of Wisconsin’s top private clubs

Catherine Helling, Coordinator of Administrative & HR Services

Catherine brings a steady, detail-driven approach to OGM’s operations and people-focused work. She began developing her professional skill set in her brother’s startup business, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, growing operation before earning bachelor’s degrees in English and studio art.

Since joining OGM in 2017, Catherine has become a trusted resource in human resources and accounting support, managing weekly payroll applications and accounts payable across multiple properties. Known for her reliability, organization, and calm problem-solving style, she provides essential support to superintendents and general managers, helping keep daily operations running smoothly and consistently.

Justin Fox, PGA, Regional Manager of Inside Operations

Originally from Arizona, Justin graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness and Professional Golf Management. With over 15 years of award-winning experience, he has worked his way from outside service and mowing greens to becoming a Head Golf Professional and General Manager. Justin has a variety of experience in the golf world, from 5-star resorts and Golf Digest-rated courses, hosting a multi-year LPGA Tour Event, and transitioning properties with multiple management companies. He is an avid golfer who is passionate about the business and the intricacies of the game.

Santos Mejia, Vice President of Construction

Santos is a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent with over 30 years of expertise in building golf courses. He specializes in irrigation system installation and construction management for large-scale projects and has a proven track record of success with Oliphant Golf Construction since 2004. Santos is adept at managing complex construction operations and ensuring quality outcomes. His leadership and technical skills have been instrumental in the development of Sand Valley Golf Resort, where he oversaw the construction and development of the property and build of five championship courses.

Mike Lyons, Senior Superintendent

Mike was one of our company’s first key hires in 2009 to handle our flagship operation at Lawsonia in Green Lake, WI. Mike is a past president of the Wisconsin Golf Course Superintendents Association and one of the Midwest’s most respected superintendents. Mike is a key adviser to all of our course superintendents, providing hands-on guidance and direction in the field.

Tom Stem, GCSAA, Regional Manager of Agronomy

Tom has been with OGM since 2015 and has over 25 years of experience in the golf industry. Tom currently oversees golf operations at Pocono Manor along with maintenance practices at our managed facilities, and has been a superintendent for over 16 years. In addition to operating Pocono Manor, Tom is an integral part of the agronomy team conducting site visits as a key advisor to all of our course superintendents, and he provides hands-on guidance and direction in the field.

Jimmy Cavezza, Lead Designer & Project Manager

Jimmy has over 30 years of distinguished experience, with expertise as a Golf Course Superintendent, Designer, and Project Manager. Most recently at The Club at Lac La Belle, he led the complete renovation of the championship course and the construction of a new par-3 course, guiding both projects from grow-in through successful openings. Through his work, Jimmy has managed all aspects of golf course development, contributed to several courses recognized by Golf Digest as Best New Courses, and directed renovations in preparation for major championships. Jimmy’s deep knowledge in project management, golf course design, and agronomy drives exceptional course conditioning and lasting value for every property he touches.

Mike Oliphant, Company Founder

Mike graduated from the University of Montana B.A. Business Administration, 1981. He has over 30 years of golf course construction and management experience. He founded The Oliphant Companies in 1996 and has since completed over 250 high-profile renovation and new construction golf course projects across the country.
