It features mature tree-lined fairways, well-groomed expanses, and challenging chipping/run-off areas, while Silver Creek winds through 11 holes to provide an engaging challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The club proudly hosts prestigious events, including USGA qualifiers, WPGA Championships, and WSGA State Championships. It offers practice facilities such as a driving range, chipping area, and putting green, providing opportunities for instruction and skill development. Additional amenities include a well-stocked pro shop with club fitting services and PGA professional instruction, indoor golf simulator, plus a vibrant full-service restaurant and bar open to the public. Versatile event spaces accommodate weddings and gatherings up to 200 guests, all contributing to a tight-knit community with leagues for men, women, couples, and juniors.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Golf Professional will take a hands-on role in the day to day golf operations, partnering closely with the General Manager/Head Golf Professional to deliver exceptional golf experiences. The core responsibilities include driving hospitality, managing the tee sheet, offering instruction through lessons and clinics, and coordinating training and scheduling. The Assistant Golf Professional will have an important role in assisting golf shop operations, organizing tournaments and events, and directing support staff while enforcing policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards. Golf instruction is a valued part of the role and can factor into your compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates dedication to the highest quality of customer service in every interaction.

  • Assists with all areas of need in the day-to-day operation of the golf shop and facility, including managing tee times, check-ins, retail sales, carts, pace of play, and inventory.

  • Assists with events, tournaments, and outings through setup, registration, coordination, and clear communication for flawless execution.

  • Provides stellar performance of duties with constant attention to the needs of members and guests.

  • Supports smooth pace of play, events, and on-course experiences through proactive energy and teamwork.

  • Keeps the golf shop, practice areas, and staging zones clean, organized, and professional through daily attention to detail.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned to help deliver outstanding golf experiences every day.

  • Assists with golf instruction, including junior programs and Get Golf Ready initiatives.

  • Out of office work and community involvement.

Skills & expertise:

  • Ability to work at a fast pace with frequent disruption

  • Ability to utilize modern technologies (ex. Microsoft Office, POS systems, social media and programs in managing workplace procedures)

  • Comprehension of golf operations, tee sheet management, golf outings, leagues, golf merchandise, and membership

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or higher

Experience Requirements:

Previous experience in retail environments and golf course operation is preferred, along with general knowledge of golf. Previous experience in management preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

  • 10 vacation days (pro rata)

  • Cell phone reimbursement up to $60 per month or use of company phone

  • 100% of lesson income with potential $5,000+
